Pause is a personal journaling app that offers guided, 7-day reflection journeys, a dream journal, and free writing, alongside optional reminders and encrypted storage of your entries.

You can use Pause anonymously. You are responsible for keeping your recovery phrase and, if enabled, your PIN or biometric lock, safe. They're the only way to access encrypted content if you switch devices or reinstall the app. We cannot recover lost content on your behalf.

Some features are available through Pause Plus, a paid subscription billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. Manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

You own what you write in Pause. Because your entries are encrypted on your device, we don't access, read, or use your journal content for any purpose. We simply store it on your behalf.

Please use Pause only for its intended purpose: personal reflection. Don't attempt to disrupt the Service, reverse-engineer the app, or use it in a way that violates applicable law.

Pause is a reflection and journaling tool, not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you're in crisis or need support, please reach out to a qualified professional or local emergency services.

The Pause app, its design, and its guided journey content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These terms don't grant you any rights to our branding or journey content beyond using the app as intended.

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of content resulting from a lost recovery phrase.

You may stop using Pause and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated.

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
